Biography Jaro Hilbert (1897-1995)

Of Czech parents, Jaro Hilbert born in 1897 in Slovenia. He is the fifth child in a family of nine. Jaro Hilbert knew from sixteen that he would be a painter. He paints in secret. Mobilized at the end of his secondary studies, Jaro Hilbert knows first-hand and until 1918, the horrors of the Great War.

The Egyptian years (1939-1962) were fertile, punctuated by exhibitions and travels, especially in Palestine. #Siwa #JaroHilbert
